Track Info

East Texas RC (ETRC) opened its doors to local racers in June 2007. The track measures 48’x64’ and is covered with special high grip racing carpet. The drivers stand is along the front straight and has enough room to hold 10 drivers simultaneously. The drivers stand is also handicap accessible with a special platform for wheelchairs.

The track layout changes from road course to oval. The course layout will determine the types of cars ran on the track. There are races for kids, novice, and expert drivers.

Each car is provided a transponder before racing and all laps and lap times are recorded by a computerized scoring system. Each race last 5 minutes in length. The objective of heat races is to post the most laps in the shortest time possible. This sets the field for the main races. In the main race you are now racing other drivers and the objective is to win.

The track owners are David Roquemore and Steve Crane. David is a former factory sponsored off-road RC racer. Steve is a former factory sponsored 1/4 scale RC racer. Their years of experience combine to make ETRC a respected track among area racers.

RC racing is a great family sport. We have several father/son & father/daughter racers. The owners have tried to keep the family in mind by keeping the overall cost low and the races short. Most races end before 9:30PM

About the Cars

The track races several different classes of cars. There are classes for kids, beginners, and experts.

A great kids and beginners classes are SLASH truck and TT-01 RC Car.
